π‘ Screen resolution affects display clarity and aspect ratio.
Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between screen width and height, expressed as x:y. Common ratios include 16:9 (HD TV), 4:3 (traditional monitor), 21:9 (ultrawide), and 16:10 (some laptops).
PPI (Pixels Per Inch) measures pixel density. Higher PPI means sharper display. Desktop monitors typically range 100-150 PPI, while phone screens range 300-500 PPI.
1080p is 1920x1080 (about 2MP). 4K UHD is 3840x2160 (about 8.3MP), 4 times 1080p. 8K resolution is 7680x4320.
Screen size is the diagonal measurement in inches. Use Pythagorean theorem: diagonal = sqrt(width^2 + height^2). Then convert pixels to inches by dividing by PPI.
